Entry by Number to open on Monday 31st July following successful signing of final Games contract.
On 27 July 2023, representatives of the Local Organising Committee of 2023 World Abilitysport Games visited Aylesbury, Great Britain, for an operational meeting and signing of the final contract.
President of the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand and Local Organising Committee, Chukiat Singsung, accompanied by Secretary General, Maitree Kongruang and International Relations, Sarawuth Saengsook and Ramida Ruchirattikan joined World Abilitysport President, Rudi Van den Abbeele and HQ staff for two days of planning and preparations.
Following a productive day of discussion, the final contract was signed by both LOC and World Abilitysport Presidents and an agreement was reached for entry by number to open on Monday 31st July.
The delegation then visited the birthplace of the Paralympic Movement, Stoke Mandeville Stadium, where they learned more about the founder of World Abilitysport it its previous form.
World Abilitysport President, Rudi Van den Abbeele said ‘We are delighted to host the Local Organising Committee in Great Britain, a team who have shown such commitment in hosting these Games, despite many setbacks since the originally planned event in 2020. It is very fitting that these Games to be finally hosted in Thailand, will mark the very first for World Abilitysport.’
