Entry by Number Opens for 2023 World Abilitysport Games

A record eleven sports on offer as entry by number opens for the 2023 World Abilitysport Games to be hosted in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 1 – 9 December 2023.

With 130 days to go until the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 World Abilitysport Games, the entry system is officially open.

Hundreds of athletes are due to descend on Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, from 1 to 9 December 2023 for five days of action in an extensive competition programme of eleven sports.

Hosted in four venues across the Thai city, athletes will compete in athletics, swimming, table tennis, powerlifting, road & track cycling, rowing, archery, badminton, shooting, snooker and wheelchair fencing. Four demonstration sports, Esports, pétanque, takraw and Para canoe, all hugely popular in the host nation, will also be showcased.

With all sports recognised by the International Federations and classification to be hosted in six sports on offer, World Abilitysport President, Rudi Van den Abbeele said, “We are delighted to be able to offer our Membership such a vast programme of events and opportunities for their athletes at this inaugural event for World Abilitysport.”

“The Local Organising Committee, Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, are experienced hosts of international competition and I have no doubt this Games will mark an exciting new beginning for World Abilitysport.”

World Abilitysport Members and Members of the International Federations of the sports on the programme, will be welcomed to submit their entries by number on the new-look World Abilitysport – Sport Management System. The system will close on 18 August with entry by name opening shortly after.
